Nadia likes to work with women from 20 weeks gestation using rebozo sifting, forward leaning inversions, side lying release, sacral release and acupressure, alongside a full body massage, to best prepare mother and baby for birth.
From 37 weeks specific points are used to allow a downward flow of qi which is needed in the first stages of labour. This in turn encourages baby to move into the birth canal and gives a gentle nudge to the body’s natural birth process allowing the cervix to soften and ripen. Balancing the mother during pregnancy must take place before any acupressure s used.
Nadia has attended Spinning Babies training and uses a Balance, Gravity & Movement approach. This helps prepare expectant mothers in the following:
-Make room in the pelvis
-Make room in the lower uterine segment by releasing the utero-sacral ligament
-Soften, lengthen & balance the pelvic floor
-Relaxes & lengthens muscles supporting the pelvis
-Create space for breech babies head to turn down, create space for posterior baby to move
-Relieve hip & back pain
